Branch Kids (Infants to 5th Grade)

We love kids at the Branch Church! Our desire is to create a multi-generational, family church so we want to be together as much as possible. We’ll begin each worship service singing together – kids and adults. After a time of worship the kids will head out for children’s lesson during the adult’s sermon.

We have a team of fantastic, experienced Sunday School teachers that your children will come to love. Even though the kids will split off during the teaching time, it is our aim to help the home be the primary place of discipleship by having the adults and children cover the same Bible passages as much as practical. The goal is that this will facilitate discussion around the dinner table or on the way to soccer practice and dance classes. Click to read more about our Branch Kids.

Our Sunday morning services are pretty simple, but we are one branch of a growing network of churches. On Wednesday evening, our children can head over to Cypress Church (web site and directions) for Shine Kids (click for more). You’ll actually see some familiar faces of The Branch Church over there serving. Your kids will have a tremendous time worshiping, learning about God, and learning to treasure Scripture in their hearts through Bible memorization. It’s a wonderful program!

Youth

We think our youth are pretty bright so we want our 6-12th graders in the worship service with us each week so we can experience God’s presence together.

But let’s be realistic, teenagers want to spend some time together, not just with their families. And like in our children’s ministry, we’re one branch of a growing network of churches. So on Tuesday nights we encourage those kids to meet at Cypress Church (website and directions) for a great youth group experience that will be a great place to build friendships and grow deeper in God’s Word.

Life Groups

Our church is being built with a simple format – Sunday mornings and weekly Life Groups. Each Life Group (mid-week small group meetings) is a place where the need each of us has for belonging is met as well as an opportunity for us to band together to meet the needs of others in the community through service. We are a community that cares for each other and our community.

When we understand what Jesus endured that we might have the kind of relationship with Him where we begin to live and love like Him, it’s going to overflow into our interactions. We will increasingly become people of compassion just like Jesus was (Matthew 9:36). A distinctive of this network of churches is a compassionate heart.

Being compassionate starts with loving people in the church, but we’re also committed to loving and serving our community. One of the ways we serve our community is to help at major events. Branch members have volunteered at the Los Alamitos Spring Carnival, the Race on the Base, Trunk or Treat, and Winter Wonderland. We also hope to partner with local non-profit organizations caring for those in need in the Los Alamitos and Rossmoor area. And, when the time is right, we will compassionately connect with partner ministries around the world.
